Windows Win98 dialer settings |
Create new dialer in Windows 98...
- Double Click "My Computer" then Double Click "Dial-Up Networking".


- You should be at "Dial-up Networking."
- Single Click on Heartland and highlight it.
- Click "File" and then click "Properties".

- Under the General tab, you should see your area code and the local dialup number listed.

- Click the "Server Types" tab.
- "Type of Dial-Up server:" should start with PPP;.
- Check "Enable software compression".
- Uncheck "Record a log file..."
- Uncheck NetBEUI.
- Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible.
- Check TCP/IP.
- Click "TCP/IP Settings..."

- "Server assigned IP address" should be selected.
- Select "Specify name server addresses".
- "Primary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.10".
- "Secondary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.15".
- Check both items at the bottom.
- Click OK.
