Support Windows Win98 dialer settings

Create new dialer in Windows 98...

  1. Double Click "My Computer" then Double Click "Dial-Up Networking".  


  2. You should be at "Dial-up Networking."
    • Single Click on Heartland and highlight it.
    • Click "File" and then click "Properties".  



  3. Under the General tab, you should see your area code and the local dialup number listed.


  4. Click the "Server Types" tab.
    • "Type of Dial-Up server:" should start with PPP;.
    • Check "Enable software compression".
    • Uncheck "Record a log file..."
    • Uncheck NetBEUI.
    • Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible.
    • Check TCP/IP.
    • Click "TCP/IP Settings..."


  5. "Server assigned IP address" should be selected.
    • Select "Specify name server addresses".
    • "Primary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.10".
    • "Secondary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.15".
    • Check both items at the bottom.
    • Click OK.
