Support Windows Win98 dialer settings Create new dialer in Windows 98... Double Click "My Computer" then Double Click "Dial-Up Networking".   You should be at "Dial-up Networking." Single Click on Heartland and highlight it. Click "File" and then click "Properties".   Under the General tab, you should see your area code and the local dialup number listed. Type your area code next to "Area code:" Type in your local dial-up number next to "Telephone number:" If you need help finding your local dial-up number, CLICK HERE. Click the "Server Types" tab. "Type of Dial-Up server:" should start with PPP;. Check "Enable software compression". Uncheck "Record a log file..." Uncheck NetBEUI. Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible. Check TCP/IP. Click "TCP/IP Settings..." "Server assigned IP address" should be selected. Select "Specify name server addresses". "Primary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.10". "Secondary DNS" needs to be "208.248.200.15". Check both items at the bottom. Click OK.   Click Here to confibure Internet Explorer to use the dialer.
