Support Outlook express 2002/XP

Checking Outlook XP settings...

  1. Click on Tools.  Click on E-mail Accounts.  



  2. Select the Second option "View or change existing e-mail accounts."
    • Click Next.  




  3. Select your Heartland account.
    • Click Change....  




  4. Pur your full name in "Your Name:".
    • Put in your username@hcis.net in "E-mail Accounts:"
    • "User Name:" is your Username.
      (Should be lowercase and no spaces and should NOT include @hcis.net.)
    • "Password:" is your Password.
      (Should be lowercase and no spaces.)
    • Check "Remember password".
    • Uncheck "Log on using Secure Password Authentication".
    • "Incoming Mail Server:" is mail.hcis.net.
    • "Outgoing Mail Server:" is mail.hcis.net.
    • Click "More Settings".  




  5. Put in your username@hcis.net in "Reply E-mail:".
    • Click the "Connection" tab.  



  6. Select "Connect using Internet Explorer's or a 3rd Party dialer".
    • Click OK.
    • Click "Finish" on the next screen.
